Colorful San Miguel de Allende Destination Wedding in Mexico || Sofia + Shane

Sofia + Shane.

Two of the sweetest, most genuine, and funniest people we’ve ever met, married in one of Mexico’s most gorgeous little towns. San Miguel de Allende is a vibrant colonial town in the heart of Mexico. It’s a UNESCO world heritage site full of history, cobblestone streets, and colorful architecture.

When Sofia and Shane first reached out, they told us about their love story and their desires to get married abroad. Sofia is originally from Mexico, and she recalled visiting San Miguel de Allende a few years ago and knowing instantly that it would be where she would get married one day.

Sofia and Shane tied the knot in the magnificent Parroquia de San Miguel de Allende, a cathedral in the heart of the town. Its spiring pink towers stand tall above the town and act as a landmark for the central square. They hosted their reception at the rustic and elegant Casa Adela just a short ride north of the city. From the rooftop terrace you can see the sprawling land that gives way to mountain views and citrus orchards.

After dinner Shane and Sofia thanked everyone for traveling to be with them on their wedding day and for their family’s continued love and support. Shane then said he had written something for Sofia and it stole our hearts. This is what he said:

“If I had one wish, I'd save it for when it's my last day. I'd wish to go back to beginning, so I could fall in love with you all over again. Sofia, I'm so happy to call you my wife and partner for life."
